Long Range Correction

This is my second PAWPRO. My dog and I hike in the Colorado Rockies and voice commands do no do well at altitude and wind. Often hand commands are blocked by trees and brush so the PAWPRO is a great option. Rascal responds very well to the “Beep” and “vibration”. I only use the shock if he needs immediate correction such as a dangerous situation near cars. The long range of the PAWPRO is a definite asset over some of the other collars. It was easy to train Rascal with the PAWPRO

Works Great!

There are so many things I love about these collars. 1st, when it's time to charge them, the color blinks a fast blink. And the light on them helps me to see them in the dark! 2nd, The Remote. The only downfall is it doesn't have a clip, other than that, I love that you have to push the dial to increase or decrease the settings, so you don't accidentally turn it up without knowing. I never use the shock mode, because my dog's respond extremely well to vibrate mode, and it's set on one of the lowest settings. I live in an apartment complex, and they have to be on a tie out, so if they bark for too long, I just have to vibrate each one once, and they'll calm right down. I absolutely LOVE these! Would definitely repurchase!!!

Remote don't hold a charge

System works great other than the remote does not hold a charge for more than 5 minutes after a week of use after purchase. The collar holds a very long charge. I rarely have the need to turn on the remote but its nice to have. Just stinks I constantly have to charge the remote.

Pretty darn good system! One minor complaint,,,,,,

WOW - pretty darn good!Hunt a pointer, and his premium collar, 28 yrs old, died. Had a number of dogs on it, but heck - nothing lasts forever. So I bought this. Bingo! The controls are easy to see and clearly marked. Charging is a breeze with USB for both. On/Off switch is nice. I will worry about it getting shutoff by accident, so we'll see. Range is also untested. Beeper, needed to locate him in tall grass, seems loud enough. He has never had a vib warning, but he will catch on to that, and I think may even like it. The switch from collar 1 to 2 is not easy understood, but the display helps - you just gotta read. The only remaining question is how rugged this will be in the field. Looks pretty goo from the outside, but days in the field will tell the tale. I will update in a month or so.Update:This is my fourth collar (and last - we are both getting older). Had several name brand collars, and this is the equal to them all. And at 400 less, a better deal. Been out in the field 5 times, and collar is steady and efficient. Range is as advertised. While the tone feature is to soft for locating the pointer in the field, it is sufficient for most dogs.Helpful hints:When unplugged from charger, the collar turns on automatically. A cool feature the caused slight confusion. The collar vibes when turned on, and beeps when turned offDo not mess with the two collar switch!Keep the dogs hair out of the snap clip on the collar. It hurts them!I bought a second collar for a new dog. Says it all.
